Special autumn offer with Signe Meirane

Signe Meirāne ‒ entrepreneur, author of 12 books and the storyaboutfood.com blog, editor of Editor of L’Officiel Gourmand Guide Latvia and a wonderful mother to two daughters ‒ paid us, Neiburgs Hotel and Restaurant, a visit to team up with our Executive Chef Vladis Gerke and create something creamy, a bit crunchy and definitely healthy, inspired by a romantic autumnal mood.

From 10 September through October, our restaurant offers a special autumn menu comprised of a starter, a choice of three main courses and a dessert:

Autumn Menu

‘I associate autumn with the colours orange and red, with rich creaminess, honey-fragrant crunchy coarseness and sweet velvetiness. With rowanberries, the last cauliflower served with a creamy sauce, with red meat and pearl barley, the latter recently making increasingly frequent appearances in restaurant menus. These autumn flavours alternate with the earthy tones of thyme, the aromatic cinnamon, apples, lingonberries and rye bread. And I love it that the Chef’s and my thoughts were looking in the same direction, exploring similar tastes and textures, which made creating the menu a very easy process and helped conjure up an unmistakeably autumnal ambience.
